This portfolio highlights my academic and clinical accomplishments as a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) student at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical campus. One of the goals of the DNP degree is to develop strong competencies in eight essential areas (the “DNP Essentials”), as defined by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN, 2016). The material in this online portfolio describes and provides examples of how my work in the DNP program met the DNP Essentials.

It starts with a brief biosketch of my background followed by an overall summary of how my DNP program aligned to the DNP essentials. A brief description of each of the eight DNP essentials is included as well as examples of my work related to each specific competency. Finally, a detailed resume is included to provide a more comprehensive view of my overall background and experience.
